Academic Integrity and Initial Screening

All submitted manuscripts will undergo similarity checking and AI usage screening using Turnitin system, in order to identify potential plagiarism and inappropriate use of AI-generated content. Manuscripts that fail to meet academic integrity or GenAI compliance requirements will be rejected without entering peer review process.

2

Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass initial screening will be reviewed by at least two to three independent experts in relevant field. The peer review process will evaluate manuscript's originality, scientific validity, research quality, academic significance, and readability. Authors are required to respond to reviewers' comments point by point and revise manuscript accordingly. Manuscripts that fail to adequately address review comments may be rejected or require further revision.

Policy on Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)

To ensure authenticity of research and adherence to academic ethics, SPET establishes following regulations regarding use of GenAI:

(1) Prohibition of Data Fabrication and Manipulation

Authors must not use GenAI tools to generate, fabricate, or supplement missing data, nor to manipulate original data, images, figures, charts, or research results in any manner that alters their integrity or presentation. Any manipulation or fabrication involving AI-generated data constitutes a serious violation of academic ethics.

(2) Transparency and Disclosure of GenAI Use

If GenAI tools are used during manuscript preparation—including writing assistance, image or figure creation, data collection, or data analysis—authors must clearly disclose such use in Methods or Acknowledgements section of manuscript. The disclosure should include name of tool, its version (if applicable), its functionality, and specific role it played in research or manuscript preparation.
